With shades of blue, gold, and petal, Patrice and Garri’s Grecian royal themed Tampa wedding was fit for a king and queen. It also incorporated aspects of the Tampa Bay couple’s first date, as well as Garri’s title.
“We went with this theme as our first date was at Acropolis, so we decided to make our theme centered around it,” the bride explained. “Also, Garri is considered the Hair King, so we had to make it a royal wedding.”
To complement their Greek wedding at Avila Golf and Country Club The Cake Zone sculpted three separate wedding cakes shaped as columns.
“We decided to do a very unusual wedding cake. It was three columns that had lots of greenery, as well as drapes and broaches,” Patrice shared. “In order to incorporate the royal look and make sure that the cake incorporated Garri’s vision, I decided to put a crown on the center column with the initial ‘B’ on it.”
We were excited to think outside of the box for the design of the couple’s unique Tampa wedding cake request.
“We definitely wanted someone who could get our vision, and Alla got it immediately!” the bride gushed. “She treated us as friends and made sure that we were comfortable with not only her service, but as well as with the cake that we were getting for our wedding. She provided a sketch of what the cake would look like down to the broaches and colors for each specific piece. She was available by phone when needed, and her customer service was the best that I have come across in the industry.”
What did you look for in a wedding cake baker?
We definitely wanted someone who could get our vision. We had sat down with two other bakers before we were recommended to contact Alla. My husband and I went to meet with Alla, and within minutes of meeting with her we knew that she would be the person that we would choose to create our wedding cake. She got our vision immediately!
The Cake Zone because was absolutely amazing! Alla treated us as friends and made sure that we were comfortable with not only her service, but as well as with the cake that we were getting for our wedding. To make sure that we were on the same page, she provided a sketch of what the cake would look like down to the broaches and colors for each specific piece. She was available by phone when needed, and her customer service was the best that I have come across in the industry.
