“We had seen some of Alla’s handmade sugar lace while researching cake vendors and thought it was unbelievably beautiful. We knew immediately that this would be the style of our cake!” Kaley gushed. “As soon as we met Alla, we knew she was our baker. She’s so sweet, fun and creative and works hard to meet the needs of her clients. Working with her was a pleasure from start to finish.”
The bride’s dress coordinated with her “vintage glamour” theme and was the perfect inspiration for her custom, handmade wedding cake. Kaley’s cake was elevated so that the bottom tier of lace hung down to replicate details of bride’s dress and with the cake weighing almost an 80 pounds, it was quite an intricate task!
“Alla makes seriously delicious cakes, is an incredible artist and fabulous to work with. I have never seen handmade sugar lace like that before!” the bride said.
The couple alternated tiers of red velvet cake with cream cheese icing and vanilla cake with white chocolate buttercream. They also provided our Little Tipsy Cakes in their guests’ welcome bags.
“The quality and taste was very important to us, but our cake really the ended up being this beautiful work of art, as well! Alla is incredibly talented!” Kaley shared.
Their romantic reception room was full of gold chiavari chairs and centerpieces of delicate, ivory and pink flowers. At the end of the night, the bride and groom were whisked away in a vintage car; an exciting and memorable sight for their wedding guests!
